Newborns need special care Livasa Hospital Hoshiarpur

Speaking at a press conference at Livasa Hospital, Hoshiarpur on Thursday, Senior Consultant-Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr. Suhasini Gupta said that early identification, continuous monitoring and availability of emergency obstetric care play a vital role in preventing complications during pregnancy and delivery.
She added that at Livasa, mothers benefit from structured antenatal care, advanced fetal monitoring, safe delivery practices and immediate access to critical care support when needed.
Talking about the health of newborns and children, Principal Consultant-Pediatrics, Dr. Pradeep Dhingra stressed that the first few hours and days after birth are crucial for the survival and long-term development of the newborn. Dr. Dhingra also explained how premature babies, low birth weight babies and newborns with breathing difficulties or jaundice require special care.
Dr. Dhingra further said that to manage such conditions through advanced neonatal facilities, a fully functional Level-3 NICU supported by ventilators, bubble CPAP for respiratory support and phototherapy for neonatal jaundice are available at Livasa.
