New rates fixed for domestic gas cylinders to curb hoarding and profiteering
Una, July 23: Una District Magistrate Jatin Lal has issued a notification regarding the additional transportation and labor charges applicable for the door-delivery and focal point supply of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders in the district. This notification has been issued under the provisions of the Himachal Pradesh Hoarding and Profiteering Prevention Order, 1977, and the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Regulation of Supply and Distribution) Order, 2000.
The District Magistrate stated that the objective behind fixing these rates is to ensure transparency in the supply of domestic gas cylinders, effectively curb hoarding and profiteering, and make gas available to consumers at prescribed rates.
**Rates for additional door delivery and focal point services:-
The Deputy Commissioner informed that for M/s Kamal Gas Agency, Una, the base price per 14.2 kg cylinder set by the company is ?975.50. Additionally, for door delivery and focal point supply within the agency's service areas, separate rates for transportation and labor—?31.50, ?29, ?35, and ?39 per cylinder—have been fixed based on the specific supply zone.
Meanwhile, at the Himachal Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation Gas Agency in Amb, the price per cylinder will be ?982.50. For door delivery and focal point supply within its service areas, additional transportation and labor charges have been fixed at ?29, ?24.50, ?29.50, and ?33.50 per cylinder, depending on the supply zone. At Panjawar Gas Agency, Panjawar, the price per cylinder will be ?974.50; additionally, rates for door delivery and transport/labor charges to focal points within the agency's supply areas have been set at ?27, ?29.50, ?35.50, and ?38.50 per cylinder, varying according to the specific supply zone.
At Shaheed Sunil Gas Agency, Gagret, the oil company has fixed the price per cylinder at ?974.50; meanwhile, charges for door delivery and transport/labor to focal points within the supply areas are set at ?30 and ?29.50 per cylinder, depending on the zone.
At the Himachal Pradesh State Supply Corporation Gas Agency, Mehatpur, the company has fixed the cylinder price at ?971.77, with additional charges for door delivery and transport/labor to focal points set at ?30.50, ?28, ?35, and ?39 per cylinder, varying by supply zone.
At Deepak Gas Service, Santoshgarh, the price per cylinder will be ?970.50, while additional charges for door delivery and transport/labor to focal points are set at ?29.50, ?30, and ?34 per cylinder, depending on the supply zone.
At Bangana Gas Service Agency, the oil company has fixed the price per cylinder at ?984; additional charges for door delivery and transport/labor to focal points are set at ?30, ?29.50, ?35.50, ?42.50, and ?49.50 per cylinder, varying by supply zone.
At M/s Sugam Indane Gas Service, Una, the company has fixed the price per cylinder at ?975.50. For the agency's designated supply areas, separate rates have been fixed for door delivery and transport/labor charges to focal points, ranging from ?31.50 to ?29 per cylinder depending on the specific area.
At M/s Chintpurni Gas Agency, Daulatpur Chowk, the price per cylinder will be ?976.50; additional charges for door delivery and transport/labor to focal points vary by supply area, set at ?29.50, ?26.50, and ?28 per cylinder.
At M/s Aryan Gas Agency, Baduhi, the oil company has fixed the price at ?975.50 per cylinder, with additional charges for door delivery and transport/labor to focal points set at ?25 per cylinder, depending on the supply area.
At M/s Baba Badbhag Singh Bharat Gas (Rural Distributor, Mairi Khas), the price per cylinder will be ?982.50; additional charges for door delivery and transport/labor to focal points vary by supply area, set at ?25 and ?27 per cylinder.
Additionally, at M/s Mata Shri Chintpurni Indane, the price per cylinder will be ?982.50, with additional charges for door delivery and transport/labor to focal points set at ?25 per cylinder, depending on the supply area. It was stated that GST would be applicable in addition to these rates. Consumers collecting cylinders directly from the warehouse will be exempt from transport charges. Gas vendors shall not charge consumers more than the prescribed rates.
LPG vendors must ensure the immediate resolution of consumer complaints regarding gas leakage. During periods of shortage, vendors must prioritize the supply of filled cylinders to consumers based on their registered sequence. Furthermore, vendors shall supply cylinders only to those consumers who are registered with their respective gas agencies.
