The Chief Minister was leading a review meeting of district level officials at the Rest House in Fatehabad on Thursday.
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that the width of Hisar Ghaggar Drain should be increased so that the problem of water drainage from waterlogged areas through it can be solved. He also directed that a proposal should be prepared for water drainage through an alternative route somewhere in the middle to reduce the flow load on Otu Lake. Referring to the crop damage, the Chief Minister said that the verification of the damage caused to the crops of the farmers due to the recent rains should be completed expeditiously.
