Need for a Cyber Security Revolution in Punjab Dr Gurjeet Singh
Amritsar:- Dr. Gurjeet Singh, Vice Principal-cum-Professor at CKD Institute of Management and Technology, Amritsar, shared his detailed vision regarding cyber security. He stated that in the digital age, making cyber security an integral part of the academic curriculum in educational institutions is the need of the hour.
Dr. Gurjeet Singh emphasized that with the growing use of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and Blockchain, cyber threats are also increasing. He stressed the importance of strengthening network security, implementing intrusion detection systems, and enhancing cyber awareness among students.
Currently pursuing postdoctoral research in cyber security, Dr. Singh has 16 years of academic and administrative experience. His research papers have been published in international journals, and he holds several national and international patents related to AI-based systems.
He called for the establishment of cyber security labs in educational institutions, the organization of ethical hacking workshops, and the development of research-based security solutions. Dr. Gurjeet Singh reaffirmed his commitment to building a secure digital future.
