NCC Unit of Khalsa College Mahilpur Organizes Statue Cleaning Activity

Hoshiarpur:- The NCC Unit of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur, under the leadership of Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh and under the supervision of Lieutenant (Dr.) Deepak, organized a “Statue Cleaning Activity”. This campaign is an initiative to keep the statues of great personalities, historical places or cultural heritage sites clean, dust-free and safe, which is often done on special occasions as a community service.
The activity concluded with the cleaning of the statue of Kargil martyr Sepoy Deepak Kumar in village Jaijon Doaba. CTO of Sant Baba Hari Singh Model School Jatinder Singh, Mahilpur, CTO of Doaba School Ravi Kumar and NCC cadets of the above institutions also participated in this activity.
On this occasion, under the directions of Commanding Officer Colonel Ajay, Subedar Sanjeev Kumar, Subedar Vinod Kumar, Naib Subedar Nabal Kishore, Havaldar Ramaiya from 8 Punjab Battalion, Phagwara, graced the occasion with their splendid presence and appreciated the spirit of service of the cadets. 
Lieutenant (Dr.) Deepak, while addressing the NCC cadets, said that the youth should actively participate in such activities so that a healthy society can be built. He said that the statues of martyrs and social reformers should always be respected and their cleanliness should be taken care of even without any activity.
