Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 20 March: The NCC unit of Shaheed Major Harminderpal Singh Government College, Mohali organized “NCC Fest-2026” in a grand manner under the leadership of Principal Professor Jaspreet Kaur Bains.
During the ceremony, the chief guest was welcomed by Head of the Department of Physical Education Professor Simarpreet Kaur, who greeted the guests through her welcome address.
The program was conducted by NCC Officer Lieutenant Sukhwinder Singh. On this occasion, NCC cadets presented excellent performances of various activities, which impressed the audience.
During the event, those college cadets who have been recruited into the Indian Army and those who performed excellently in other fields were specially honored. The honored cadets included Dilpreet Singh, Ram Mohit, Jaspreet Singh, Vivek Kumar, Kunal, Amanveer Singh, Vishal Kumar, Dharminder Singh, Kamalpreet Singh, Sahibdeep Singh, Harpreet Singh and Roshan Lal.
Specially, Senior Under Officer Amritpal Singh, who has been recruited to the rank of Lieutenant, was honored by the chief guest with the ‘Roll of Honor’ and a trophy.
The prize distribution ceremony was conducted by the chief guest Senior Officer S. Baljeet Singh, Deputy Labour Commissioner, Punjab. On this occasion, along with him, Professor Sharanjit Singh (Department of Geography), Professor Harcharan Singh (Department of Fine Arts), Professor Jagtar Singh (Department of Physical Education) and Dr. Sarabjit Kaur (Department of Hindi) were also present.
At the end, the Vice Principal of the college, Professor Gunjeet Kaur, expressed gratitude to the chief guest and the audience.
