Nawanshahr Police arrest 4 accused along with 2 kg heroin and countrymade pistol

Nawanshahr:- A special operation has been launched against drug smugglers and bad elements under the leadership of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Senior Superintendent of Police Tushar Gupta, Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Sarabjit Singh Bahia and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Jatinder Chauhan. Under this operation, Nawanshahr Police has arrested 4 accused in two different cases and recovered 02 kg 12 grams heroin, one country-made pistol and 04 live rounds (cartridges) from them.
In the first case, CIA staff arrested two accused riding a motorcycle from Pul Canal near village Sanawa. They have been identified as Sanpreet Singh alias Sandhu (village Barwa, police station Sadar Nawanshahr) and Armaan Sundh alias Mani (village Saloh, police station City Nawanshahr). The police have recovered 2 kg 12 grams of heroin from their possession.
During the initial interrogation, these arrested accused told that they were in touch with their old acquaintances (informants) Pranav Sehgal and Sarabjit Sabi sitting abroad through the 'Signal App'. They used to pick up heroin from the specified place on the instructions of these two and further supply it to the men sent by them.
In the second case, a police party of CIA staff has arrested two more accused from village Baghora Canal. They have been identified as Mandeep Kumar alias Mani (Village Saroa, Police Station Pojewal) Harish and Ritik Lil alias Addi (Village Rattewal, Police Station Kathgarh). The police have recovered a country-made pistol 30 bore and 4 live rounds (30 bore) from their possession, which they were keeping for committing a murder. Police interrogation has revealed that these two accused were also sent by Pranav Sehgal and Sarabjit Sabi with the purpose of committing the crime. In this regard, a case has been registered at Police Station Sadar Nawanshahr under the Indian Penal Code and Arms Act and further legal action has been initiated.
