Navjot Sahitya Sanstha Aur celebrated International Mother Language Day

Nawanshahr:- On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, Navjot Sahitya Sanstha Aur organized an impressive function at Government Senior Secondary School Sahlon in which the school children participated in painting and question and answer competitions. The winning children were honored by the institution. Speaking on the occasion, the president of the society, Davinder Skopri, said that Punjabi mother language is our own mother language which everyone should respect.
And towards this, all children need to be sincere towards their mother language. Sandhu Varyanvi, general secretary of Central Punjabi Writers' Sabha Sekhon, and others demanded from the government that the government should intensify its efforts towards Punjabi mother language and Punjabi should be fully implemented in all offices of Punjab and in all commercial establishments, Punjabi mother language should be written on the boards first to show respect for Punjabi mother language.
The government should also take action against those schools in which speaking Punjabi is banned through its own efforts. On this occasion, Dr. Kewal Ram Nawanshahr also highlighted the efforts of Navjot Sahitya Sanstha for the promotion of Punjabi mother tongue. On this occasion, Principal Alka Rani Madam Amarjind Satpal Sahlon, Hari Krishna Patwari Ravinder Mallah Bedian, Dr. Kewal Ram Nawanshahr etc. addressed. Chaman Mallpuri, Varinderjit Singh and school staff and students were present on this occasion.
