National Gateball Championship Concludes in Srinagar Bihar Defeats Haryana to Clinch Title

Haryana/Hisar: The National Gateball Championship, held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Zadibal, Srinagar, has successfully concluded. In the final match, Bihar defeated Haryana to claim the championship title.
Thirty-two players from 16 states and union territories across the country, including Jammu & Kashmir, participated in the championship. The event provided an excellent platform for players to showcase their talent and helped promote the sport of Gateball.
Tanvir Sadiq, the MLA of Zadibal, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. Distinguished guests present on the occasion included Mohammad Shafi Lone (Principal, GGHSS Zadibal), Manzoor Ahmed (PEM, GGHSS Zadibal), Sharad Kumar Patra (Treasurer, Indian Gateball Union), Dilip Kumar Sarangi (Official, Indian Gateball Union), Rauf Ahmed Khan (Physical Educator), and Dr. Altaf-ur-Rehman (Former Director of Sports, Islamia College Srinagar).
During the ceremony, the chief guest honored officials and representatives from various states with mementos for their contributions to the development of Gateball. He also interacted with the players and observed the matches taking place on the field.
In their addresses, the guests commended the organizers, noting that the successful hosting of this national-level competition and the provision of excellent facilities for the players were highly praiseworthy.
While proposing the vote of thanks, the Secretary of the J&K Gateball Union expressed gratitude to all the players, technical officials, volunteers, supporters, and the Indian Gateball Union for their cooperation and support.
This national championship was organized by the J&K Gateball Union. The event took place at GGHSS Zadibal, Srinagar, with support from GGHSS Zadibal, Nitians Career Institute, JK Green Energy Solutions, and The Legends School.
