Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Additional Deputy Commissioner Administers Pledge to Officials
Nawanshahr: Under the 'Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan' (Drug-Free India Campaign), an important initiative has been taken by the District Administration of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. Led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sanjeev Sharma, all officers and employees of the district administration took a pledge to stand against drugs and work towards making society drug-free.
This campaign is being run through the efforts of the Social Security, Women, and Child Development Department of the Punjab Government. ADC Sanjeev Sharma stated that awareness activities are being conducted continuously under the campaign. A special action program has been outlined from June 16 to June 26, which will include online mass pledge campaigns, poster making, slogan writing, and essay competitions.
The main objective of this campaign is to steer youth away from the quagmire of drug addiction and inspire them towards sports and other creative pursuits. All these activities will be conducted at the district, block, and village levels with the cooperation of colleges and various departments to make the district completely drug-free. Officials from various departments were present during the event.
