Hoshiarpur- The ‘Sanjhi Raso’ project being run by the District Red Cross Society at Mohalla Ish Nagar, Hoshiarpur is running successfully under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner and President District Red Cross Society, Ashika Jain. 450 to 500 needy people are benefiting from it daily.
Giving information in this regard, Secretary District Red Cross Society Mangesh Sood said that for the success of this project, Nakoda Pashrav Bhairav ??Parivar donated Rs 5100 to Sanjhi Raso on the auspicious occasion of Bhagwan Mahavir Nirvana Kalyanak (Diwali) and Punjab Kesari Vijay Vallabh Sureshwar Ji Maharaj Sahib’s 156th birth anniversary (Bhai Dooj).
He also informed that this project being run by the District Red Cross is being run only with the funds being provided as donations by the donors/social workers of the district.
Who, under the Book-A-Day scheme, provide continuous financial assistance to celebrate the birthdays, marriages/anniversaries and days related to memories of their family members at the Sanjhi Rasoi along with providing assistance in the form of ration materials.
