Karnal, October 30: Surmayi Sharma, Deputy Director of My Bharat Karnal, stated that, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, My Bharat Kendra, Karnal, will organize two-day block-level sports competitions. Interested youth groups can submit their proposals to the My Bharat Kendra, Karnal office by November 2nd, 2025.
Deputy Director Surmayi Sharma stated that four block-level sports competitions will be held in eight blocks of the district. All players will be registered online on the event created on the My Bharat portal. There will be 150 players in the two day block level sports competitions and in the block level sports, volleyball, 400 meter race, 200 meter race and long jump will be organised in the men's category and kho kho, 400 meter, 200 meter and long jump in the women's category. One can also get information regarding the competition by visiting the My Bharat Kendra office.
The Deputy Director informed that these competitions will be organised in all the blocks of the district. The organisation of these block level sports competitions is not limited to mere formality but is aimed at spreading awareness about physical fitness and mental health among the youth through sports activities. The aim is to provide opportunities to the rural youth to participate in sports competitions to showcase their talent.
