Mushroom Cultivation Training Program Organized by PNB RSETI Concludes

Una, March 24: The 10-day mushroom cultivation training program, organized by the Punjab National Bank Rural Self-Employment Training Institute (PNB RSETI), Una, concluded successfully today (Tuesday). Speaking on the occasion, Sudhir Sharma, Director of PNB RSETI, urged all participants to take immediate steps toward self-employment. He encouraged the youth to move forward on the path of self-reliance by adopting the technical knowledge and practical skills imparted during the training.
He informed the participants that loan facilities at low interest rates are available through the bank for candidates who have received training from the institute, enabling them to easily launch their own enterprises. During the training period, participants were provided with detailed information regarding all critical aspects of mushroom production—including spawn production, unit establishment, maintenance, packaging, marketing, and business management.
Present at the closing ceremony were Kamal Prakash (serving as an examiner), Rajkumar Dogra (Financial Literacy Counselor for the Reserve Bank of India), and Vidya Vishwakarma—an entrepreneur who had previously trained at this very institute and has since achieved outstanding success in mushroom production. Her inspiring success further encouraged the participants to pursue self-employment.
This training was provided free of cost to unemployed youth in the 18 to 50 age group. During the program, they were introduced not only to technical skills but also to the managerial and marketing competencies essential for becoming successful entrepreneurs.
Also present on this occasion were PNB RSETI faculty member Rajni Bala, and faculty assistants Heena Dogra and Meenakshi.
