Motorcycle protest rally with black flags by sanitation workers in Kharar
Kharar, 30 July:- Under the ongoing struggle of sanitation workers across Punjab, today all sanitation workers of Kharar took out a motorcycle protest rally in the city carrying black flags against Punjab Government. During the rally, employees marched through various markets and main roads raising slogans against the government and demanded immediate implementation of their pending demands.
During the rally, Municipal Employees Association President Manu Amit and Chairman Pradeep Sharma said that sanitation workers have been struggling for their legitimate demands for many days, but no concrete step has been taken by the government. They alleged that employees are being entangled in assurances and their demands are being continuously ignored.
Leaders said that sanitation workers are sitting on dharna since 8th July, but till now neither any administrative officer, nor government representative nor any local MLA has come to listen to their problems. Due to this there is huge resentment among employees.
