Nawanshahr:- Monthly meeting of Pensioners Association Powercom/Transmission Mandal Nawanshahr was held under the leadership of Mandal President Narinder Kumar Mehta and the role of Stage Secretary was played by Madan Lal Ramraipur. In which majority of pensioners and family pensioners participated. Before starting the proceedings of the meeting, all the pensioners stood up and observed two minutes silence to pay tribute to our respected pensioners who passed away during the month of February.
After this, in the meeting, Circle President Kulwinder Atwal, Joint Secretary Niranjan Kang, Finance Secretary Vijay Kumar Bali, Mandal C:M: President Ravinder Rahon, Mi: President Shambhu Rahon, Press Secretary Prem Chankoa, Gurmukh Singh Langroa, Manjit Roorkee, Daljit Kaur Langroa, Ashok Singh AAE, Surinder Pal Singh, Satpal Bhatia, Baldev Tajowal, Shivraj etc. The speakers said in their addresses that as per the struggle drawn up by the joint front of employees and pensioners regarding the long pending demands of pensioners and employees, a series of rallies will be held in Chandigarh from March 8 to March 11 during the budget session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha and a protest march will be taken out towards the Vidhan Sabha.
To implement this decision without fail, the Pensioners Association Powercom, along with allied organizations included in the joint front, will participate in the Chandigarh rally and protest march towards the Vidhan Sabha on March 10. If the Punjab government does not provide any meaningful solution to our burning demands in the budget being presented for the year 2026-27, then the struggle will be intensified to achieve our demands. Gursharan Pal Singh, Sohan Mazhoor, Jarnail Singh, Ashok, Karamjit Singh, Swaran Das, Madan Bichhoori, Surinder Kaur, Joginder Kaur, Charan Kaur, Jagdish Kaur, Saroj Kumari etc. were present on this occasion.
