Monsoon arrives in 12 states Rain in Madhya PradeshUP hailstorm in Rajasthan

Bhopal/Lucknow/Jaipur/Patna:- The southwest monsoon is advancing rapidly across the country. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon had reached 12 states by Sunday. It has covered Kerala, Karnataka, Manipur, Nagaland and Mizoram.
Pre-monsoon rains are occurring in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Rain accompanied by hailstorm occurred in Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan on Sunday. An auto-rickshaw overturned due to strong winds on the Indore-Khandwa highway in Madhya Pradesh.
Three narrow-body aircraft of Air India were damaged at Delhi airport after colliding with ground support equipment during a strong storm and heavy rain. All three aircraft have been taken out of service following the incident.
The weather in Delhi-NCR has changed since Monday, with temperatures likely to rise again. Temperatures are expected to touch 45 degrees Celsius in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, heatwave-like conditions may develop next week.
Heatwave alert for Rajasthan and Punjab; mercury crosses 41 degrees Celsius in Delhi
According to the IMD, a heatwave alert has been issued for five states, including Rajasthan, for Monday. Between June 7 and 11, heatwave conditions are likely in parts of West Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, UP and Madhya Pradesh with rain.
On Sunday, the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 41.6 degrees Celsius, which is 1.6 degrees Celsius above normal. Sri Ganganagar was the hottest city in Rajasthan, recording 44.8 degrees Celsius. This was followed by Phalodi (44.4 degrees Celsius), Jaisalmer (43.9 degrees Celsius), Barmer (43 degrees Celsius), and Churu (42.4 degrees Celsius).
