Mohali Traffic Police conducted road safety awareness campaign distributed helmets
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 21:- Under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police District SAS Nagar Mr. Harmandeep Singh Hans IPS and Superintendent of Police Traffic District SAS Nagar, Mr. Navneet Singh Mahal PPSG, Traffic Police Mohali is celebrating the National Road Safety Campaign (2026) under the Deathless System Scheme from 01.01.2026 to 31.01.2026 every year.
In the series of which, today on 21.01.2026, S. Karnail Singh PPS Deputy Superintendent of Police Traffic, District SAS Nagar organized an awareness campaign under the Rotary Club Silver City Project Road Safety at IISER Chowk in collaboration with Rotary Club Silver City Mohali. The purpose of which was to make the general public aware of traffic rules.
On this occasion, DSP Traffic Mohali, Sardar Karnail Singh and Rotary Club Silver City President Dr. Jagdeep Singh informed the people about the importance of road safety. During this, helmets were distributed to women for safety and reflector tape was put on vehicles, trolleys, canteras, etc., so that road accidents can be prevented at night.
On the occasion, if the vehicle drivers were following the traffic rules, they were honored with chocolates and roses. Apart from this, the traffic police personnel were encouraged by presenting them with useful belts.
In this awareness campaign, the club's secretary Chinmoy Abhi, project chairman and former president Dr. Mohit Singla, Rajneesh Shastri, AP Singh and Sanjeev Kumar (Traffic Incharge), Gurmehar Singh Rotaract Club's Aman, Shivali were also present. On the occasion, the speakers appealed to the people to follow the traffic rules and adopt safe driving. At the end of the seminar, the Rotary Club President, members and other dignitaries present appreciated and thanked DSP Traffic Sr. Karnail Singh for organizing this seminar.
