Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, October 26: As per the guidelines of Harmandeep Singh Hans, Senior Superintendent of Police, District SAS Nagar, continuous action is being taken to bring fugitive offenders (POs) to book under the campaign being launched against bad elements and criminals. In this regard, PO staff has been prepared and assigned the task of arresting the fugitives.
Under this campaign, under the guidance and supervision of Mr. Saurabh Jindal, Superintendent of Police (Investigation) and Mr. Naveenpal Singh Lehal, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Special Crime), District SAS Nagar, a police team led by In-charge PO Staff SI Balwinder Singh has arrested the fugitive accused Narinderjit Singh alias Nindi, resident of village Daun Khurd, District Patiala.
A case number 25/2022 under Section 18/61/85 of the NDPS Act was registered against the accused at Police Station Handesra, Mohali, in which 200 grams of opium were recovered from the accused.
