MLA Yogendra Rana Distributes 48 Tractors at Asandh Grain Market

Asandh/Karnal, March 20: Yogendra Rana, the MLA for Asandh, attended a farmer training camp organized under the 'ATMA' initiative at the New Grain Market on Friday, serving as the Chief Guest. On this occasion, he distributed approximately 48 tractors to eligible farmers belonging to the Scheduled Castes through a lucky draw.
Addressing the farmers at the event, MLA Yogendra Rana stated that the government's primary objective is to make farmers economically prosperous and empowered through modern technology. He informed the gathering that the government would provide a subsidy of ?3 lakh per farmer for each of these tractors, while the remaining amount would be paid by the farmer. He clarified that the selection process was entirely transparent and that the benefits were extended only to those farmers who had registered themselves on the 'Saral' portal.
During the camp, the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Animal Husbandry jointly conducted awareness sessions for the farmers. The Department of Animal Husbandry distributed free medicine kits to the farmers. Agricultural experts provided detailed information to the farmers regarding modern farming techniques, water conservation, and important schemes such as the Soil Health Card.
The event was attended by a large number of farmers, along with dignitaries including Dr. Sanjay Antil (Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department), Dr. Wazir Singh (DDA), Dr. Rupinder (SDO), Dr. Kulbir Khatri, Dr. Tarsem Rana, Dr. Baldev Raj (BAO), Dr. Shyam Singh (ADO), Vinod Rana Gondar (District President, Kisan Morcha), Praveen Rana (Chairman, Market Committee), Ramavatar (Vice Chairman), Amit Rana, Jaibir Fauji (Sarpanch of Salwan), and Pala Ram (Sarpanch of Bahri).
