MLA Santosh Kataria encouraged the youth to join sports

Balachaur:- The final match of the football tournament being organized by Brahmachari Sports and Welfare Youth Club at BAV Ground Balachaur was played today between the teams of Balachaur city and village Garhi Kanungo. The final match of the football was started by the Chairman of Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission Sardar Jasvir Singh Garhi and MLA Balachaur constituency Mrs. Santosh Kataria.
On this occasion, Balachaur Municipal Council President Sunil Kaushal Ladi Rana, Dharmendra Tripathi MC, Dharmendra Menka MC, Jaswinder Sianana, Tehsil President of SC Wing Kuldeep Singh, Ajay Kumar MC, Radhe Sham MC, Dr. Sunita Sharma, Dr. Bhupinder Jeet Singh Suri, Satnam Singh NRI, Sukhvir Kaur Tehsildar Balachaur etc. were present.
Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission Chairman Sardar Jasvir Singh Gari said that the state government is making huge efforts to promote sports culture in Punjab and connect the youth with sports grounds by keeping them away from the vices like drugs. He said that this is the first time in the history of Punjab that any government has drawn a plan to build village stadiums keeping in mind the future of children and their health. He announced to give Rs. 5100 to the team of village Gari Kanungo.
He said that the winning team that scores a goal will also be given a prize money of Rs. 5100. On this occasion, MLA Balachaur constituency Santosh Kataria said that every possible effort is being made to keep the youth away from drugs and connect them with sports. He said that the state government is building about 3300 sports stadiums across Punjab.
He said that the announcement of Rs. 10 lakh for the sports grounds by the Member of Parliament will be completed soon and the grant will be released. He appealed to the youth to take interest in sports along with studies.
