Balachaur- MLA of Balachaur constituency, Santosh Kataria, and Deputy Commissioner Gulpreet Singh Aulakh commenced the procurement of wheat at the Balachaur Grain Market and reviewed the arrangements made by officials of the concerned departments for the purchase of the produce. 
MLA Santosh Kataria stated that the Punjab Government has made elaborate arrangements regarding the procurement of produce in the markets so that farmers do not face any kind of difficulty in selling their crops. She appealed to the farmers to bring dry produce to the markets to ensure a smooth selling process. She added that the Punjab Government stands with the farmers and is committed to procuring every single grain of the crop in the markets.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner mentioned that appropriate arrangements for the procurement of produce have been made in the grain markets of the district, and officials have been instructed to ensure that farmers face no trouble in the markets. He directed the concerned officials to maintain continuous inspections of the grain markets. He also instructed the officials to ensure there is no shortage of gunny bags (bardana) during the wheat procurement season. He reiterated the appeal to farmers to bring only dry crops to the markets to avoid any inconvenience.
