MLA Kulwant Singh launches Rs 6093 lakh sewerage project

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, March 26: Constituency MLA Kulwant Singh today launched the project of laying a new sewerage line from Franco Hotel to D-Plast Chowk at a cost of Rs 60.93 lakh.
On this occasion, he said that replacing the sewer line, which has been in bad condition for several months, will provide great relief to the residents of the area and will provide a permanent solution to the problem.
He said that although the sewerage infrastructure in Mohali is working well, wherever there is any malfunction or road problem, it is the responsibility of the government to resolve it immediately and this is a continuous process.
He said that the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has always tried to ensure that people do not face any kind of problem and their issues are resolved on time.
The MLA said that due to the damage of the sewerage pipeline from Franco Hotel to D-Plast Chowk at many places, there was a problem of sewer block in many areas of Phase-1 and Phase-2. Apart from this, the drainage of rainwater in Phase-1 was also being affected.
He informed that under this project, 540 meters of sewerage line will be laid with 450 mm. RCC pipe and HDPE lining, while 150 meters long RCC pipe of 400 mm. Dia will also be laid for the drainage of rainwater. Both these works are being done by the Public Health Department and it is expected that this project will be completed in two months.
He said that the government is focusing on the all-round development of the state. New projects are being started continuously and special attention is being paid to enhancing the beauty of cities so that Punjab can be made “Rangla Punjab” again.
Targeting the opposition parties, he said that the opposition is upset with the government’s work and the solution of people’s issues and is making baseless allegations, but the people of Punjab have now understood the truth.
On this occasion, Councilor Gurmeet Kaur, Harvinder Singh (Block President), Sharanjit Kaur (Block President), Renu Sood (Block Coordinator, Women’s Wing), Harmeet Singh (Youth Coordinator), AXION Gurprakash Singh and SDO Ramandeep Singh were also present.
