MLA Kulwant Singh Distributes 37 Lakh Grant for Mohali Development and Housing

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, April 17: MLA Kulwant Singh distributed checks to the sarpanches of various villages for development works. Grants were provided for the construction of houses for beneficiaries in villages including Tarauli, Bhago Majra, Raipur, Behlolpur, Bar Majra Colony, Maujpur, and Manana.
Additionally, checks worth ?8 lakh for the construction of a school room in Manana village, ?5 lakh for a dharamshala in Kailo village, and ?6 lakh for storm water drainage in Jhampur were also handed over.
He informed that a total amount of ?18 lakh has been distributed to nine families for the construction of their houses.
The MLA stated that there will be no shortage of funds for the development of villages in the Mohali constituency. He added that sports stadiums are being constructed on a large scale in the constituency to motivate the younger generation toward sports and keep them away from drugs.
He said that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Aam Aadmi Party government is taking major decisions for public welfare and fulfilling the promises made during elections. He mentioned that under the Chief Minister's Health Scheme, treatment up to ?10 lakh is being provided to the people, enabling them to get treated easily at nearby hospitals.
The MLA further noted that significant reforms have been made in government schools under the education revolution, leading to an increasing number of students enrolling in government schools. This has boosted the morale of teachers and created an atmosphere of satisfaction among parents.
He also shared that keeping public health in mind, Mohalla Clinics have been opened across Punjab, where a large number of patients undergo check-ups daily.
