MLA Jimpa honored for removing transformer from Bhagwan Valmiki Chowk

Hoshiarpur:- MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa was specially honored by the Valmiki community today for removing the transformer from in front of Bhagwan Valmiki Chowk. On this occasion, during the function held at the chowk, the Sunday Market Association also celebrated MLA Jimpa's birthday by cutting a cake. Municipal Corporation Mayor Surinder Kumar, councilors and other personalities were present on this occasion.
MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa said in his address on this occasion that Bhagwan Valmiki Chowk is the focal point of the city and all possible efforts are being made to enhance its beauty. He said that a fund of Rs. 5 lakh has been arranged under the Rangla Punjab scheme for the beautification of the chowk. He said that the surroundings of the chowk will be made beautiful with lights.
He said that the transformer installed in the square was a hindrance to its beauty, which has been removed by the Municipal Corporation by paying Rs. 2.93 lakh to the Electricity Department. He said that all the demands of the Valmiki community will be fulfilled on priority basis. He said that the demands of the Valmiki community regarding bus stand and funeral vehicle will also be fulfilled soon.
On this occasion, the leaders of the Valmiki community expressed their heartfelt gratitude to MLA Jimpa for resolving the demands of the city's development and sanitation workers on priority basis. During this, special arrangements were also made for langar. Karanjot Adia, Hari Ram Adia, Khushi Ram Dhiman and other personalities were present on this occasion.
