MLA Jimpa hands over approval letters for housing scheme

Hoshiarpur:- Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0, Hoshiarpur MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa today distributed approval letters to 251 beneficiaries during a function organized at the Municipal Corporation Complex. He said that the government has approved Rs 6 crore 27 lakh 50 thousand for the beneficiaries. On this occasion, he said that due to the visionary thinking and sensitive leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the share of the state has increased, due to which the needy families are getting real benefits.
MLA Jimpa said that as a public representative, it has always been his effort that the full benefits of government schemes reach the eligible beneficiaries on time. He clarified that the objective of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is to provide safe and dignified housing to the weaker sections of the society, and the efforts being made by the Hoshiarpur Municipal Corporation in this direction are commendable. He said that under this scheme, homeless people who do not have their own pucca house or who have a house with a thatched roof are helped to build a pucca house.
MLA Jimpa further said that government schemes are successful only when their benefits reach the real needy. He said that it is my resolve that I will work with full readiness to extend the benefits of these schemes to every eligible family of Hoshiarpur.
Mayor Surinder Kumar said that the government has deposited a limit of Rs 2 crore 51 lakh in the account of the Municipal Corporation as the first installment. After the work on the house of the beneficiaries is completed by the Municipal Corporation, the amount will be released in installments in their accounts.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Jyoti Bala Mattoo, Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini, Deputy Mayor Ranjit Chaudhary, Joint Commissioner Sandeep, Assistant Commissioner Ajay Kumar, SE Satish Saini, MTP Lakhvir, Executive Kuldeep Singh, Harpreet Singh, Councilor Jaswinder Kala, Gurpreet Kaur, Manjit Kaur, Paramjit Kaur, Mukesh Mall, Jatinder Kaur, Meena Kumari and other dignitaries were present in this program.
