MLA Jimpa Distributes Ration Kits Under Meri Rasoi Scheme in Mohalla Kacha Tobha
Hoshiarpur- With the objective of taking the welfare schemes of the Punjab Government to every household, MLA Bram Shanker Jimpa distributed ration kits to needy families under the 'Meri Rasoi' scheme in Mohalla Kacha Tobha. During this event, he stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is continuously taking historic decisions to reduce the economic burden on the common people.
MLA Jimpa mentioned that 600 units of free electricity are being provided in the state, there is no shortage of medicines in government hospitals, and construction work for a medical college in Hoshiarpur will begin soon, which will further strengthen health services.
He informed that about 40 lakh families in the state will benefit from the 'Meri Rasoi' scheme. He said this scheme is a significant relief for poor and needy families as it will substantially reduce kitchen expenses. The ration kit includes 2 kg of split chickpeas (chana dal), 2 kg of sugar, 1 kg of salt, 200 grams of turmeric, and 1 liter of mustard oil. Furthermore, every beneficiary family will be provided with this special ration kit every three months, which will also include other household essentials.
MLA Jimpa stated that the Aam Aadmi Party government is providing direct benefits to people through various schemes such as free electricity, better health services, high-quality education, and welfare of women. He mentioned that over 2.20 lakh families in the district will benefit from this scheme. The Punjab Government has allocated Rs 900 crore for the successful implementation of this scheme.
On this occasion, beneficiary families praised this initiative of the Punjab Government, stating that the 'Meri Rasoi' scheme will prove very helpful in reducing their household expenses.
Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini, Councilors Pradeep Bittu, Ajay Verma, Sanjeev Dua, and residents of the mohalla were also present on this occasion.
