MLA Jimpa distributed ration kits to the needy families of village Bassi Purani
Hoshiarpur:- MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa today listened to the problems of the villagers during a joint public meeting program organized in village Bassi Purani of Hoshiarpur assembly constituency and directed the officials of the concerned departments to resolve them immediately on the spot. During this, ration kits were also distributed to the needy families under the Chief Minister's Meri Rasoi Yojana, so that the benefits of government schemes can be reached to the eligible families in a transparent and direct manner.
MLA Jimpa said that the Punjab government has started the process of making new ration cards. Now, such needy families, whose ration cards could not be made till now, will also have their cards made on priority basis.
He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is fully committed to public welfare and the government's aim is to provide the benefits of government schemes to every section of the society without any discrimination. He said that development works are continuously going on in the Hoshiarpur assembly constituency. Grants are being released for development works as per the needs of every village, so that people can be provided with better roads, drinking water, sewerage and other basic facilities.
He said that the main objective of the public interest and public welfare schemes of the Punjab government is to empower the economically weak and needy families and provide them with all possible assistance. With this aim, the government is ensuring that no eligible family is deprived of the benefits of government schemes.
