Ratia, 4th August:- A meeting was held on Monday in the auditorium of the BDPO office under the chairmanship of SDM Surendra Singh regarding preparations for the Independence Day function to be organized on 15th August. In the meeting, necessary directions were given to officers of various departments for the successful, dignified and well-organized conduct of the Independence Day function to be organized in the Anaj Mandi Shed premises.
SDM Surendra Singh said that Independence Day is a festival of national pride and patriotism. All departments should discharge their responsibilities in a time-bound manner with mutual coordination to conduct the function organized on this occasion in a grand and disciplined manner. He directed the officers that all works assigned to them should be completed before the stipulated time, so that there is no inconvenience in the organization.
In the meeting, various arrangements at the function venue were reviewed in detail. The Municipality was assigned the responsibility of cleanliness of the function venue, arrangement of tents, chairs, seating arrangement for freedom fighters and eminent citizens and decoration of martyr memorials. The Electricity Department was directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply, the Senior Medical Officer to arrange ambulance and health services, BDPO Ratia and Nagpur for videography and photography, Public Health Engineering Department for drinking water arrangement, Police Department for law and order and traffic control and Fire Department to ensure necessary security arrangements.
Apart from this, stage arrangement and other necessary preparations were also reviewed.
The SDM directed all department heads to remain present at the scheduled time along with a representative of their department and to ensure that all preparations are completed in time.
He said that a committee of various officers has been constituted for celebrating the Independence Day function with great pomp and for selection of teams of schools and colleges for cultural programs. He said that the full dress final rehearsal of the function will be held on 13th August.
In the meeting, DSP Kulwant Singh, Naib Tehsildar Balwan Singh, BDPO Anil Kumar, Municipal Secretary Shubham Kumar, BEO Shashi Prakash, litterateur Dr. Naib Singh Mander, SDO Aanchal Jain, Kuldeep Singh, Sunil Kumar, Kawal Singh, Government Women College Principal Paramjit Sandha, Khalsa Tri Shatabdi College Prof. Krishan Kumar, Rajesh Syokand, Gulshan Kumar, Mishu Chilana including officers of various departments were present.
