Medical checkup and Xray camp organized in Bhilowal

Mahilpur:- As per the directions of Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Mandeep Kamal, a free medical check-up and X-ray camp was organized in village Bhilowal today under the leadership of Senior Medical Officer Dr. Manpreet Singh Bains. In which health check-up of more than 100 people and free X-ray of 66 people were done. On this occasion, Dr. Manpreet Singh Bains said that the main objective of this camp was to make the people of the village aware about health services and provide them with free treatment facility.
He said that X-ray facility was also provided in this camp today. Due to which many patients got immediate benefit. He said that during this camp, patients were examined by a team of experienced doctors and required medicines were also given to them free of cost. He said that such camps will be organized continuously in the coming time so that health services can reach every person.
During the camp, blood pressure, sugar, HB and common diseases were examined. On this occasion, STS Bhupinder Kaur informed the people about the 100-day TB-free campaign regarding the prevention of TB disease. She said that TB is now incurable and it is treated free of cost in government hospitals, so the patient need not panic now. Under this campaign, tests and X-rays of suspected patients are done free of cost by the Health Department.
She said that if someone has symptoms like prolonged cough (often more than two weeks), frequent coughs at night, mild or moderate fever, feeling of fatigue and weakness, sudden or unexplained weight loss, chest pain and tension due to lung infection, blood while coughing, etc., then they should definitely get their TB test done so that this disease can be treated on time.
