Jalandhar:- Students of Mechanical Engineering Department of IKG PTU Jalandhar are being given practical training on modern CNC machines at CIIT-Tata Technology Centre. This centre has been established to give industrial level experience to the students and strengthen their practical knowledge.
The students recently visited the centre where they conducted various experiments on CNC machines and got information about modern manufacturing techniques.
Head of the department Dr. Balkar Singh regularly visits this centre to motivate the students to improve their technical skills. He said that such training proves to be very helpful in preparing the students for the industry.
All the faculty members of the department also take the students to the center and conduct live experiments so that their practical skills can be developed and they can get better opportunities in their careers. This initiative reflects the university's commitment towards skill-based education.
