Massive Fire Breaks Out at Shri Ram Agro Factory in Karnal

Karnal, July 4: Panic gripped the area on Saturday after a massive fire suddenly broke out at the Shri Ram Agro Factory, located on Meerut Road in Karnal. Within moments, the fire engulfed the entire premises, sending up a thick plume of smoke visible from several kilometers away.
Chaos ensued among the employees present at the factory as soon as the fire started. Although they attempted to extinguish the blaze initially, the fire spread too rapidly for them to succeed. Authorities were immediately notified, and police and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene.
Upon receiving the information, multiple fire tenders arrived and launched a rescue and firefighting operation to bring the blaze under control. A police team also reached the site, managing security arrangements and evacuating the surrounding area.
Sub-Inspector Tarsem Singh stated that continuous efforts are being made to bring the fire under control. There are currently no reports of any casualties. The factory reportedly belongs to Satish Gupta, a BJP leader and Vice-Chairman of the Haryana Traders' Welfare Board. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined; preliminary investigations are looking into possibilities such as a short circuit.
Estimates suggest the fire could result in losses ranging from lakhs to crores of rupees. The actual extent of the damage can only be assessed once the fire is completely extinguished and the investigation is concluded. Police stated that further legal action would be taken based on the complaint filed by the factory owner.
