Hoshiarpur:- Under the directions of Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Mandeep Kamal, Tarsem Lal District Group Education and Information Officer from Mass Media Wing created awareness under various health programs at Government High School Simbli. Giving information in this regard, District Group Education and Information Officer Tarsem Lal created awareness about health programs and always made people aware about consuming clean and safe drinking water and nutritious food.
He gave health education about getting free treatment for snake and dog bites from the nearby district hospital and government health institution Garhshankar. Along with this, he made people aware about prevention of hepatitis, free test and treatment, under AIDS control program and said that information and awareness about this is very important. So that children can protect themselves from these diseases. Along with this, he gave health education to patients about taking advantage of health services under the Chief Minister Cancer Relief Fund.
Along with this, he created awareness under the National Vector Borne Disease Control Program, Vaccination Program, War on Drugs Campaign and motivated them towards sports. Because if children are connected with sports and games from school time, then we can fulfill the real purpose of the war on drugs together.
Along with this, he gave health education to children under the National Tobacco Control Program to avoid the ill effects of tobacco products, especially passive smoking, that whenever a person smokes in common places, children, women and elders standing nearby are more harmed than the smoker. Along with this, he also made them aware about other health programs.
On this occasion, the headmaster of Government High School Simbli, teachers and villagers and children gave full support. On this occasion, Barjinderjit Singh Headmaster, Harpreet Singh Clerk, Sikander Singh Computer Operator, Inderjit Kaur, Rajinder Kaur, Kulwinder Kaur, Mamta, Nirmal Kaur, Amarjit etc. were present.
