Karnal, March 15: On Sunday, within the sacred precincts of the Manav Seva Sangh, the marriages of five daughters from needy families were solemnized in accordance with Hindu rites and rituals. The mass marriage ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Swami Premmurti, the Director of the Sangh, bestowed his blessings upon all the newlywed couples. Present on this occasion alongside him were Dr. Bhagat Ram Khandwal (Advocate), Dulichand Sharma, Nagesh Gupta (CA), Kehar Singh Chopra, Mahendra Singh Narwal, Chaudhary Lajpat Rai, S.D. Arora, Vijay Gupta, Bindiya Rani, Ravindra Singh, Nanakchand, Dr. Amarjit Savitri Bindlis, and the entire team from the 'Helping Hand' organization.
Dr. Bhagat Ram Khandwal (Advocate), Vice-President of the Manav Seva Sangh, stated that the marriages of Seema with Sajan Dua, Anshu with Sachin, Geeta with Sukhbir, Preeti with Rohit Kumar, and Pooja with Deepak were solemnized in strict adherence to religious rites. He further explained that, with the support of generous philanthropists from Karnal, this auspicious act of *Kanyadan* (giving away the bride) was successfully completed by presenting the brides with household necessities and other gifts. Notable contributions in this endeavor came from Rameshwar Gupta (Chairman of the Rajeshwar Swatantra Gupta Charitable Trust), Trustees Vijay Gupta and Bindiya Gupta, Ravindra Singh, the team from the 'Helping Hand' organization, and Dr. Haushila Prasad Tripathi, a former scientist at NDRI.
Swami Premmurti remarked that *Kanyadan* is the greatest act of spiritual merit. For several years, the Manav Seva Sangh has been dedicated to this mission of securing a bright future for the daughters of needy families. To date, the marriages of 710 daughters have been successfully solemnized, and the next mass marriage ceremony for daughters from needy families is scheduled to be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
He urged all social organizations and capable individuals within society to extend every possible form of support toward this noble cause. Swami Premmurti emphasized that, for a long time, the Manav Seva Sangh has operated on the principle that "Service to Humanity is Service to God" (*Nar Seva Hi Narayan Seva*). He affirmed that serving humanity is the highest form of service, and facilitating the marriages of daughters is indeed a virtuous and noble deed. We should all come forward to help the needy sections of society.
