Dera Bassi (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), October 28, 2025: Constituency Derabassi MLA S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa has thanked the Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh for approving the establishment of a 100-bed modern Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospital in Derabassi constituency.
He said that this decision is a testament to the commitment of S. Bhagwant Singh Mann’s government towards health, which will provide quality health facilities to thousands of workers and common citizens not only in Derabassi constituency but also in the entire area.
MLA Randhawa said that this hospital will be built by the central government and the Punjab government has approved 4 acres of land for this. He said that this project will give a new direction to the health sector and expand health facilities in the Derabassi area.
He said that Derabassi is a rapidly developing industrial area, where thousands of workers earn their livelihood. With the establishment of ESI Hospital here, the working class will be provided with affordable and high-quality treatment facilities.
Randhawa said that this hospital will be equipped with maternal and child health, emergency, diagnostic and specialist OPD services, which will elevate this area as an ideal health center.
He said that the aim of the Mann government is to improve the lives of the people by strengthening health, education and infrastructure in every constituency. The MLA said that he is always committed to convey all the needs of the people of Derabassi constituency to the government.
Finally, MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa again thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh for giving a significant gift to the people of the area by fulfilling the long-standing demand of health facilities in the Derabassi area.
