Mahilpur Police apprehends accused and seller with narcotic pills
Hoshiarpur: Following the instructions of the Punjab government, a special campaign has been launched to apprehend mafia elements and drug traffickers. Under the guidance of Shri Sandeep Kumar Malik, Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur, and as per the instructions of Daljit Singh Khakh, DSP Garhshankar, a police party led by Sub-Inspector Madan Singh, Station House Officer, Mahilpur, along with Sub-Inspector Ramandeep Kaur, was on patrol, checking suspicious persons and vehicles of all kinds.
When the police party was a short distance from the flour mill, a young man was seen walking towards them. He was apprehended and questioned about his name and address. He identified himself as Bobby, son of Ram Chandra, resident of Ward No. 2, Balachaur, District Nawanshahr, currently residing in BDPO Colony, Mahilpur. Upon searching him, 31 loose light orange-colored narcotic pills were recovered.
A case number 203 dated 11.12.2025 under sections 22/29-61-85 of the NDPS Act was registered against him at PS Mahilpur, and further action was taken. Upon strict interrogation, Bobby revealed that he had purchased these narcotic pills from Gagandeep Singh alias Lota, son of Kulwinder Kumar, resident of Ward No. 12, BDPO Colony, Mahilpur. A raid was conducted, and Gagandeep Singh alias Lota was arrested as per procedure. Both are being produced before the court.
