Nilokheri/Karnal, June 17: Despite struggling against foreign invaders throughout his life, the legendary warrior Maharana Pratap carried out well-planned and systematic work in the fields of horticulture and water conservation during his reign. By naming the State Horticulture University after this marvelous son of Mother India, the Haryana government has paid a true tribute to the incomparable warrior Maharana Pratap. Haryana Institute of Rural Development Director Dr. Virendra Singh Chauhan made this remark while addressing participants at the concluding session of the three-day 'Yuktdhara' training program at the institute today. At the start of the session, he, along with all participants and trainers, offered floral tributes to the portrait of Maharana Pratap.
Dr. Chauhan said that today, on the occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti, we need to take inspiration from his life. Mentioning the Battle of Haldighati, he said that even in adverse circumstances, Maharana Pratap never compromised on his values of self-respect, freedom, and national interest. His life teaches us lessons of struggle, courage, self-esteem, duty, and dedication to the motherland. He urged participants to follow these ideals in their respective work areas and discharge their duties with honesty and dedication.
Director Dr. Virendra Singh Chauhan stated that the 'Yuktdhara' portal is a powerful medium for scientific and technical monitoring of development works in village panchayats. Through this, transparency in the implementation of schemes will increase, and it will help ensure the quality of development works. He called upon the participants to effectively utilize the knowledge gained during the training in their respective fields.
Program coordinator Kamaldeep Sangwan mentioned that during the training, participants were provided with practical information on various aspects of the 'Yuktdhara' portal and the GIS-based monitoring system, ensuring better monitoring of development works in village panchayats.
Anil Kumar from the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj said that the effective use of modern technology and geospatial data plays a crucial role in the better implementation of rural development schemes. He appreciated the active participation shown by the participants during the training.
Assistant Professors Sandeep Kumar, Wazir Singh, Saurabh Arora, Mohit Sharma, Additional Block Program Officers from various districts, and other participants were present on this occasion.
