LUVAS Signs Memorandum of Understanding MoU with Agrinnovate India Limited

Haryana/Hisar: Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar, has signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Agrinnovate India Limited to promote the commercialization of technologies developed in the fields of agriculture and allied sectors.
This agreement was concluded today during a dignified ceremony held at the Vice-Chancellor's Secretariat.
Agrinnovate India Limited is a premier government undertaking established under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Its objective is to commercialize technologies and research outcomes developed at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Central Agricultural Universities, and State Agricultural Universities, and to disseminate them to industries, research institutions, and academic organizations at both national and international levels.
Through this MoU, useful and market-oriented technologies developed at the university will be evaluated and incorporated into Agrinnovate's portfolio; subsequently, their commercialization and licensing will be facilitated as deemed necessary. This initiative will strengthen the dissemination of innovations within the agriculture and animal husbandry sectors and enhance farmers' access to modern technologies.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Sonia Sindhu, Director (Human Resource Management), on behalf of the university, and by Dr. Praveen Malik, Chief Executive Officer, on behalf of Agrinnovate India Limited, New Delhi.
On this occasion, the University's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar Verma, was also specially present. He stated that this agreement marks a significant step towards bridging the gap between the research and technologies developed at the university and the industry. He expressed confidence that this collaboration would lead to the effective dissemination of innovations and provide direct benefits to farmers and entrepreneurs. Furthermore, he affirmed that the university would continue to make such efforts to ensure that the benefits of research reach the last person in society.
Also present during the program were Dr. Rajesh Khurana, Dean of the College of Veterinary Sciences, and Dr. Divya Agnihotri, Head of the Department of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology. Public Relations Officer Dr. Nilesh Sindhu stated that this agreement would prove to be a milestone in promoting sustainable development in the fields of agriculture and animal husbandry, while providing a new direction to the university's research and innovation capabilities.
