Loot worth lakhs and firing Five criminals sent on sixday remand
Karnal, November 26: The gang leader who carried out the robbery worth lakhs and the shooting of a young man at a wedding house in Subhash Colony, Karnal, has been found to have 56 criminal cases registered against him. In a joint operation, the police arrested the five gang members from a bus, produced them in court, and placed them on six-day remand.
SP Ganga Ram Poonia told reporters that the police have recovered the weapons used in the crime from these criminals. Police recovered four pistols and eight cartridges from them. The stolen goods are also being recovered from the accused. The SP claimed that 100% of the loot will be recovered during the remand period.
The SP stated that the gang leader, Rajiv alias Raju, has 56 criminal cases registered against him, some of which he has already been convicted. According to police records, all the arrested criminals are residents of Punjab. These include Deepak alias Harry, Rajiv alias Rajpal, Amritpal, Abhishek, and Prince.
A joint team of Ambala, Kurukshetra, Karnal, and Panchkula police raided the bus and apprehended these five criminals. Police also recovered the stolen car and other items from the accused. Police are now interrogating them to determine who conducted the reconnaissance of the crime.
The criminal records of the other four criminals are also being thoroughly investigated. According to the Superintendent of Police, the interrogation and investigation will continue.
