Bathinda: The auspicious festivals of Lohri and Makar Sankranti were celebrated with cultural fervor and mutual harmony at the Mata Vaishno Devi Temple complex by the Bathinda branch of Bharat Vikas Parishad. The program was presided over by branch president Pawan Grover, while provincial advisor and branch mentor Prof. Ashok Kumar Gupta was the chief guest.
The special guests included Vijay Kaushal (Chief Manager, Punjab National Bank), Assistant General Manager Deepak Mahadani and his wife Sonia Mahadani.
Many prominent members of the Parishad were present on this occasion, including Secretary Dr. Taru Mittal, Dr. Deepika Vasal, Kapil, Dr. Tanu Mittal, P.N. Gagan, Tekchand Singla, Advocate Mangal, Ashwani Mangla, Darshan Bansal, Devkinandan Goyal, Ramesh Wadhwa, Ramesh Pasricha, Madan Gopal, Mukul Manohar Mittal, Ramesh Garg, Bharat Bhushan Goyal and Sunita Goyal.
During the program, the Giddha and folk cultural performances presented by the women added to the festive atmosphere, and personalities who have made significant contributions to social service were honored.
