Livasa Hospital Amritsar Organizes CME on Advances in Emergency Medicine
Amritsar: Emergency medicine specialists, physicians, intensivists, trauma experts, anesthesiologists, and healthcare professionals from Punjab and across the country participated today in a CME (Continuing Medical Education) event titled 'Embrace – Diversity in Spectrum,' organized by Livasa Hospital Amritsar in collaboration with the Society for Emergency Medicine India (Punjab Chapter).
During the CME, experts discussed the latest advancements, evidence-based practices, and multidisciplinary approaches in emergency medicine. The conference featured expert-led scientific sessions covering trauma management, emergency critical care, point-of-care ultrasound, toxicology, pediatric emergency care, artificial intelligence in emergency medicine, and quality and safety in emergency departments.
Addressing the conference, Dr. Prabhpreet Singh, Consultant and Head of the Emergency Department at Livasa Hospital Amritsar, stated that emergency medicine demands rapid clinical judgment, coordinated teamwork, and continuous upskilling. He explained that 'Embrace' was designed to provide a platform where emergency physicians and specialists from various disciplines could share practical experiences, discuss challenging clinical scenarios, and learn from the latest evidence and innovations.
Dr. Singh noted that the enthusiastic participation and high-level scientific discussions reflect the growing commitment of emergency care professionals toward enhancing patient safety, improving emergency response systems, and delivering better outcomes across the region.
