Mohali, July 2, 2026: On the occasion of National Doctors' Day, a special felicitation ceremony was organized on July 1, 2026 (Wednesday) through a joint effort by Lions Club Mohali SAS Nagar (Registered) and Lions Club Mohali Disha. The event took place at Hotel Zodiac, Phase-5, Mohali, with **Dr. Ravneet Kaur Bedi**, Director, GMCH-32, Chandigarh, attending as the Chief Guest. During the program, the PST teams from both Lions Club chapters jointly honored several doctors by presenting them with badges and certificates. The honorees included Dr. Sandeep Kukkar (Director – Oncology, Park Hospital, Mohali), Dr. Sankalp Sharma (Associate Director – Cardiology, Park Hospital, Mohali), Dr. Ashutosh Sharma (Managing Director, D. Sandhu’s Laparoscopic and Surgical Center, Chandigarh), Dr. Mandeep Singh (General Surgeon, Indus Hospital, Mohali), Dr. Taran Nat Bhattal (Managing Director, Derma & Beyond – Multi-Specialty Clinic, Sector-82, Aerocity, Mohali), Dr. Ashpi Aluna Dogra (Obstetrician & Gynecologist, TDI City, Mohali), Dr. Sudhanshu Budakoti (Senior Consultant – Cardiology, Fortis Hospital, Mohali), Dr. Rahul Katyal (Pulmonologist & Critical Care, Gini Hospital, Sector-69, Mohali), and Dr. Sachin Bindal. (Associate Director – Neurosurgery, Max Hospital, Mohali), Dr. Ritu Mani (Medical Officer – Civil Hospital, Mohali), Dr. Robin Bohat (Senior Consultant – Orthopedics and Joint Replacement, Livasa Hospital, Mohali), Dr. Jagdeep Singh Rency (Associate Professor – Orthopedics, Mohali), and Dr. Paramjit Kaur (Professor – Transfusion Medicine, GMCH-32, Chandigarh).
They have rendered selfless and exemplary service to society. The objective of this event was to recognize and appreciate the invaluable contributions made by these medical professionals in uplifting and serving the community.
Dr. Ravneet Kaur Bedi, who attended the occasion as the chief guest, congratulated the doctors present and thanked the office-bearers and members of the Lions Club for organizing this program to honor the medical fraternity. On this special occasion, Lions Club Disha—an all-women club—inducted five new members:
*Dr. Ashpi Aluna Dogra*, *Dr. Parmis Kaur*, *Dr. Taran Nat Bhattal*, *Retired Colonel Romi Randhawa*, and *Gurinder Kaur*; among them are three doctors and an officer who has earned distinction in the service of the nation.
Gracing the event with their presence were District 321-F officers: Lion Amandeep Singh Gulati (Region Chairperson), Lion Tejinder Kaur (Zone Chairperson), Lion Harinder Pal Singh Harry (District Ambassador – Lions Quest), Lion Jasvinder Singh (Deputy District Governor – Youth Exchange), Lion R.P. Singh Vig (District Co-Chairperson – Environment), Lion K.K. Agarwal (Past President), and Lion Rajinder Kumar Chauhan (Past Secretary), along with office-bearers and members from both clubs. Lion Amrik Singh Mohali (Charter President) congratulated the doctors attending the National Doctors' Day event, while Lion J.S. Rahi (Charter Member) conducted the event excellently.
