Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, October 31- In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012, Additional District Magistrate Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar Smt. Geetika Singh has suspended the license issued to M/s Iram Overseas Firm SCO No. 02, First Floor, New Sunny Enclave, Sector 125, Kharar, District-Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar for the work of Consultancy, Coaching Institute of IELTS for a period of three months with immediate effect.
Giving information, Additional District Magistrate Smt. Geetika Singh said that the owner of M/s Iram Overseas Firm, Smt. Iram Nawaz, wife of S. Mohammad Bilal, House No. 504/1, Phase-01 Mohali District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar has been issued a license number License No. 684/IC dated 26-06-2024 for the work of Consultancy, Coaching Institute of IELTS. The validity of which is up to 25.06.2029.
Additional District Magistrate Mrs. Geetika Singh said that Tehsildar Kharar sent a Tamil report to the above address and the office was found closed on the spot. The copy was pasted at his office. She said that due to non-submission of monthly report by the firm and due to the closure of the office, violation was committed under the provisions of Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012.
Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under the provisions of Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professionals Act-2012, the License No. 684/IC dated 26-06-2024 issued to the firm M/s Eram Overseas has been suspended for a period of three months with effect from 24.10.2025.
A notice has been issued to the licensee under Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professionals Regulation Act-2012, giving 15 days time to clarify its position.
