Faridkot:- The tree planting campaign by the district unit of LBCT (Lord Buddha Charitable Trust) is progressing successfully. Under this series, a high-level team of the trust launched a tree planting campaign in Park Avenue Colony located on Kotkapura-Talwandi Bypass Road of the city today. This high-level team included Trust Founder Jagdish Rai Dhosiwal, Chairman Dr. Harpal Singh, District President Dil Prem Singh Bhola Grewal, Senior Vice President Ins. Ramesh Kumar Barolia, General Secretary Prof. Malkit Singh Mamman, Press Secretary Shiv Nath Dardi and Vice President Nirmal Singh Sandhu.
Apart from this, Park Avenue Welfare Society President Jagtar Singh Dhillon and many social service organizations associated with Prin. Suresh Arora also specially attended the occasion. After the tree planting ceremony, Colony President Mr. Dhillon thanked all the leaders of the Trust and congratulated the entire Trust. He further said that in the present times, the biggest need is to protect the environment from pollution. Trees play a very important role in preventing pollution.
Park Avenue resident and known as an environmentalist, District Senior Vice President of the Trust Ins Ramesh Kumar Barolia said that the entire colony residents have immense love for greenery and all the trees planted today will be properly taken care of. On this occasion, District President D.P.S. Bhola Grewal informed that the Trust will plant more trees in many other government schools and safe places of the district in the coming days.
On this occasion, Trust founder Mr. Dhosiwal congratulated the entire team for the tree planting campaign being run by the Faridkot unit. Dhosiwal thanked the District Forest Department and especially the Forest Reserve Officer Chamkaur Singh Sandhu for the tree planting campaign. He further said that he will soon meet the concerned officers of the Forest Department and thank them.
The Chief Patron of the Trust, Madam Hirawati, Retired Naib Tehsildar, who could not join the tree planting campaign today due to some important engagement, has also congratulated the District President Mr. Bhola over the telephone for the continuity and success of the tree planting campaign.
