Launch of the DrugFree Haryana Mission
Karnal, December 6: Under the guidance of District and Sessions Judge and Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Ajay Kumar Sharda, the District Legal Services Authority today launched the Drug-Free Haryana Mission. This campaign will run until January 6. As part of the campaign, the District Legal Services Authority will raise awareness among students and the general public about the ill effects of drugs through special awareness programs.
Chief Judicial Magistrate and Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Dr. Iram Hasan, stated that, as per the orders of HALSA Panchkula, the District Legal Services Authority will organize awareness camps under the Drug-Free Haryana Mission at various locations, villages, and schools in the district.
She informed that a workshop will be held on December 8th, where relevant departments, panel advocates, and PLVs will be provided information to make the mission successful. In this connection, Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel Sonu Kumar inaugurated the Drug-Free Haryana Mission by organizing an awareness camp at Labor Chowk. He informed workers about the harms of drug abuse and encouraged them to stay away from it. In addition, they informed the workers about their rights.
Paralegal volunteer Dr. Neena administered an oath to Anganwadi workers to participate in the Drug-Free Haryana Mission, informing the public about the harms of drug abuse and motivating them to stay away from drugs. Dr. Neena also raised awareness among staff and students at the Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School, Model Town, and DAV College about the ill effects of drug abuse.
Paralegal volunteer Agya Pal organized an awareness camp at Matka Chowk to inform them about the National Lok Adalat to be held on December 13th in the District Court, as well as in the subdivisions of Indri, Assandh, and Gharaunda. Traffic Inspector Roshan Lal and his team organized a challan drive.
Breakthrough Incharge Kamala and her team educated the staff and students at the Government Senior Secondary School, Kaimla, about the ill effects of drug abuse and administered an oath to them to stay away from drugs. Villagers in village Chaura were also made aware of the ill effects of drug abuse.
