Language of law should be simple for common people Modi
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has advocated simplifying the language of law so that it can be easily understood by the common man. He said that ease of access to justice should be ensured for every citizen irrespective of their social or financial background.

He said that the government's legal aid defence system is helping in providing ease of access to justice to the poor and the underprivileged. Modi demanded that court decisions and legal documents be made available in local languages ??and praised the Supreme Court for taking steps in this direction.
He said, “It is truly commendable that the Supreme Court has taken the initiative to translate over 80,000 judgments into 18 Indian languages. I am confident that this effort will continue at the High Court and district level as well.”
The Prime Minister said that when people understand their justice in their own language, there is better compliance with the law and fewer lawsuits.
