Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab remembered martyrs on Martyrs Day
Hoshiarpur- The University School of Engineering and Technology, Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab, celebrated Martyrs’ Day 2026 across the entire university campus with a series of meaningful and patriotic activities on the theme “Mashaal-e-Hind”. On this occasion, heartfelt tributes were paid to the great revolutionaries Sardar Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, whose sacrifices continue to inspire generations. Throughout the programme, the campus resonated with a deep sense of patriotism, unity and national pride.
The ceremony began with a patriotic rally, which marked the start of the event. Students and faculty members participated actively, holding placards and raising slogans that echoed the spirit of patriotism and remembrance.
Prof. Meenakshi Sharma informed that this patriotic programme included dance, singing and dramatic performances, which depicted the spirit of sacrifice and devotion towards the country. A special attraction was the staging of two impactful skits named “Amar Gunj” and “Azadi da Maan”, which vividly portrayed the life, struggles and martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, including the emotional journey of the martyr’s family during the time of execution.
The “Mashaal-e-Hind” programme also added intellectual depth; the exhibition of letters of martyr Bhagat Singh by the University School of Legal Studies and the book exhibition by the Language Department Punjab showcased inspirational revolutionary literature, enabling students to connect more closely with the history and ideals of India’s freedom movement. Open mic sessions with poetry, speeches and patriotic songs further enriched the atmosphere, portraying Bhagat Singh not only as a fearless freedom fighter but also as a visionary thinker.
On this occasion, the honourable presence of Vice Chancellor Dr. A. S. Chawla graced the event, who congratulated the organisers of the event and inspired the audience to learn from the thoughts of martyr Bhagat Singh. The event was attended by Registrar Dr. B. S. Satyal, CEO Vimal Manhotra, Executive Dean Dr. H. P. S. Dhami, Executive Dean Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, Dr. Rajinder Kaur, Dr. Mahinder Singh, Shri P. K. Verma, Dr. Amit Sharma, Dr. V. K. Saini, Engineer Mandeep Singh, Prof. Narinder Bhumbala, PRO, along with esteemed faculty members. This event was organised and coordinated by Prof. Sukhwinder Kaur, Coordinator Kaleidoscope Club.
She informed that great enthusiasm was seen among the students in the turban tying, poster making competition. Winning students were given prizes and certificates.
Martyrs’ Day 2026 concluded as a deeply inspiring and transformative experience, leaving an indelible impression on every participant and attendee. The university staff and students were present on this occasion.
