Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab organized an IndustryAcademiaHR Meet 2026
Hoshiarpur:- Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab organized an Industry-Academia-HR Meet 2026 at Chandigarh. During this event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BoAT), Northern Region, Kanpur, for the implementation of Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programs (AEDP). This is the first MoU in North India in which a student will obtain a dual degree along with an apprenticeship, which is approved by the government; the student will also receive Direct Benefit Transfers and will earn, learn, and grow.
This initiative is designed to bridge the gap between academic training and industry requirements by integrating apprenticeships within degree programs. The program focused on creating awareness about AEDP among HR professionals and industry representatives to enhance industry-academia collaboration and improve employability.
The event featured Mr. Vivek Kumar, Director, Board of Apprenticeship Training (BoAT), NR, Kanpur; he shared insightful thoughts and answered questions during the Q&A session. Mr. Nirmal Singh Rayat, Chancellor, Lamrin Tech Skills University, expressed appreciation and stated that we expect good results. Vice Chancellor Dr. A.S. Chawla, in his speech, said that this will bridge the gap between academia and industries as per the guidelines of the New Education Policy.

Mr. Sachin Jain, Executive Director Corporate Relations, said that: “From the Parliament to the Pan Shop, everyone is discussing why graduates are unemployed. The main issue is not education, but rather the lack of industrial integration within it. The real solution lies in providing degrees that combine academic education with practical industrial exposure. At Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab, we are proud to be pioneers in this model, resulting in thousands of students from 24 states choosing to study with us.”
Prof. B.S. Satyal, Registrar, thanked all the dignitaries and audience members present on this occasion. Mr. Gaje Patial, Assistant Director, BoAT, and other senior officials of the university along with more than 125 HR professionals/officials from various industries participated in this event.
