Lamrin Tech Skills University Organizes Special Lecture on Employability Skills
Hoshiarpur: The University School of Commerce and Management at Lamrin Tech Skills University, Punjab, organized a special lecture on "Employability Skills" for BBA, BCom, and MBA students.
The session was conducted by Dr. Akanksha Jain, who provided valuable insights into the changing dynamics of employability and industry expectations. She emphasized that in today's competitive job market, employability entails not merely possessing a degree, but also the ability to create value, demonstrate skills, and deliver results.
Dr. Jain highlighted the key attributes sought by employers, including problem-solving abilities, communication skills, practical exposure, an ownership mindset, and executive capacity.
A highlight of the session was an engaging activity in which students were asked to think like a Marketing Executive and plan their tasks for the first 24 hours on the job.
The talk proved to be highly informative and inspiring, helping students understand the significance of becoming job-ready and industry-relevant.
Such initiatives underscore the institution's commitment to enhancing students' employability, professional skills, and career preparedness. Dr. Ashutosh Sharma extended his gratitude to the keynote speaker for her valuable insights. All faculty members and students were present on the occasion.
