Hoshiarpur: Lamarin Tech Skills University successfully hosted its annual Grand Athletic Meet 2025, bringing together students, faculty, and prominent figures for a vibrant and energetic day of sportsmanship. Over 525 students from various departments of the university enthusiastically participated in the march past and various sports events.
The sports meet was inaugurated by the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Dr. Arvinder Singh Chawla, who encouraged students to actively participate in sports for their holistic development. Dr. Swaran Singh from NIELIT Ropar was present as a special guest and praised the university's efforts to foster a strong sports culture on campus.
The event was organized under the leadership of Engineer Amandeep Singh, Joint Director, ensuring excellent coordination and smooth execution. The march past event was planned by Mrs. Ratan Kaur. Their efforts contributed significantly to the discipline and grandeur of the event. Faculty members also added to the excitement with friendly competitions, including tug-of-war, a 100-meter race, and a lemon and spoon race, making the program fun and engaging.
The closing ceremony was attended by Honorable Chancellor S. Nirmal Singh Riyat, Vice Chancellor Dr. Arvinder Singh Chawla, Registrar Dr. (Prof.) B.S. Satyal, CEO Mr. Vimal Manhotra, and Dean Academic Affairs Dr. Navneet Chopra, who distributed prizes and medals to the deserving winners. Dr. A.S. Chawla, Vice-Chancellor of Lamarin Tech Skills University, congratulated all participants and praised their collaborative efforts to make the event a success.

The overall trophy went to the College of Law.
The Best March Past Award went to the University School of Polytechnics.
Best Athlete (Male) Anizan, School of Allied Health Sciences.
Best Athlete (Female) Gursimran Kaur, Riyat College of Law.

In his final speech, Registrar Prof. BS Satyal encouraged the students to continue participating wholeheartedly in university functions and maintain the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship.
The event was well coordinated by Lamarin Tech Skills University faculty members Mr. Harvinder Singh and Mr. Imroz Singh, and everyone extended their wholehearted support.
