KMP Expressway will become the backbone of Haryanas industrial revolution Rao Narbir Singh
Chandigarh, February 8:- Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Shri Rao Narbir Singh said that the approximately 135 km long Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway is a very important asset of the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC). Keeping in mind the expected population of the year 2031, the government has constituted the Panchgram Development Authority with the aim of developing 5 new cities on both sides of it.
The Industries Minister said that the role of Delhi and the National Capital Region is important in realizing the Developed India-2047 Vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the KMP Expressway will provide a strong foundation in this direction. Accordingly, the Haryana Government has made necessary amendments in its Industrial Policy, so that investment, employment and infrastructure can get a new impetus.
He clarified that the responsibility of HSIIDC should not be limited to revenue only, but the main objective of the corporation should be to provide convenient services, quick processes and a conducive environment to the industrialists.
Mr. Rao Narbir Singh said that Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini had announced to set up 10 new IMTs by the year 2030 to further accelerate industrial development, out of which 5 IMTs have been approved. And the process of developing them is in progress. He said that last year the budget of the Industries Department was increased by 125 percent and this increase will be further increased in the upcoming budget, so that the industrial expansion of the state continues.
He said that out of the proposed 10 IMTs, 3 will be developed in the National Capital Region, the axis of which will be the KMP Expressway. Along with this, the 5 new cities to be developed will become the center of attraction of developed India and will also help in reducing the increased population pressure in Delhi. The Industry Minister said that agriculture-dominated Haryana, which has been at the forefront of the Green Revolution, has already challenged the world-renowned cities of Bangalore and Hyderabad by establishing Gurugram as an IT hub. In the coming time, when 10 new IMTs will be developed, Haryana will emerge as the spearhead of the country's industrial revolution.
